“Through renting a room at the residence of Joyce we met Suzette Parrish.
She had already been Joyce’s caretaker for several years before we had met either of them. For the first several years that we knew both of them, Joyce was still able to do some light activities and tasks on her own, such as light cooking and going for short walks around the yard with walker. During this time, Suzette made sure the house was cleaned, the dogs were taken care of, medical appointments were made and kept, homecooked meals were prepared, proper hygiene was maintained and undoubtedly took care of many other responsibilities we are not aware of. Overall, Suzette was an immense help in making sure Joyce was able to get around, eat a well-balance diet, and live her life to the fullest.
As Joyce gradually needed more care, Suzette dedicated countless hours to helping Joyce with daily tasks and was available whenever she was needed. She arrived early and left late may days. On more than a few occasions, Suzette responded to emergency situations late in the evening and at night. She was always able to promptly handle the situation in a calm and clear-headed manner and was firm defender of Joyce’s wishes. During the final 6 months as Joyce’s caretaker, Suzette was at the house 7 days a week from morning until night taking car of her needs. We saw firsthand Suzette’s 100% commitment to her role as Joyce’s caretaker, and her ability to ‘get thing done’ in a timely manner. She was a reliable advocate for Joyce in the many circumstances that arose during the time we have known her.”

“Please accept this as a reference for Ms. Parrish. I have observed her to always arrive on time for the care of my next door neighbor, Gloria Cecina, for the last five years.
She would work extra days to meet the family needs when they were out of town or could not be present to care for their mother. She would work extra days to meet the family needs when they were out of town or could not be present to care for their mother. She would bring food for the weekends, for herself and Mrs. Cecina. She took Mrs. Cecina out for therapy, doctor appointments, rolled her hair, bathed her and socialization every weekend. She supported Mrs. Cecina’s neighbors to visit, so she would feel detached from the neighborhood.
Suzette also was seen to water the yard and caring for the pet cats owned by Mrs. Cecina. She had always been friendly and courteous to all.

I am please to write this letter of reference on behalf of Suzette Parrish, who provided valued services as a caregiver for my Father (Jesus Alonso) for three years. In the beginning of those three years I was told that Dad only had one year at most, to live. It was sad and terrible time for everyone in my family. Having brought my father home from the hospital January, I was determined to find a qualified caregiver who would join our family for a brief while as we strove to give my dad just what he wanted and so richly deserved: comfort, dignity, and joy of being home. Even though with his diabetes, high blood pressure, dementia along with other medical ailments. He lived three years longer than what the doctor thought possible it was the love and care that Suzette provided. She lovingly bathed: shaved and dressed my dad everyday also prepared his meals. Suzette would consult my dad and make his food he thoroughly enjoyed eating.
Suzette is the kind of care giver that would sit, during the day or in the evening, with my dad and watch television. For my dad, Suzette became a dear friend. My dad trusted Suzette dispensed the care, wisdom and compassion needed to take us through this most difficult time starting July 2007. When my father’s health started to deteriorate, his care was 24 hours. She quietly lent us her strength, and became a trusted member of our family.
Suzette remained with us through my father’s death on April 17, 2008 and the transition period for my father.
I would highly recommend Suzette Parrish for employment as a caregiver. She is all the things you would want in a caregiver. Intelligence, competence, kindness, and total commitment to her client’s well-being. Hire her to help you take care of your loved one, you’ll be glad you did.
Please contact me if you have any questions. For us, Suzette was like our guardian angel for the last three years of my dad’s life.
Thank you for the opportunity to tell you about a wonderful caregiver and the truly beautiful person.

Ten months ago, my Mother had a stroke that left in a vegetative state, for a few months she was in convalescent hospital. In a very short time her insurance had hit the maximum benefit allowed. My sister, brother and I found ourselves needing to care for our mother. We were not sure how to do this, knowing full well she needed twenty-four-hour care. Since my sister lived in Texas and my brother lived in Temecula, I knew that my husband and I would be the one to car for my mother and I had no idea how I was going to be able to do this.
Suzette Parrish was recommended by a friend from Nativity Church, my friend told me that she had taken care of several people from the parish and everyone was very happy with the care she had provided to their loved ones.
My sister and I interviewed Suzette Parish and decided she would be the person to help me with the care of my mother. Suzette Parish has cared for my mother every day for eight hour a day for the last five months. She provided loving care to my mother and taught me how to care for my mother when I was by myself. I never had to worry that my mother was receiving the type of car you would want your mother to have.
I needed tome to get away and Suzette took care for my mother for the weekend. I knew that my mother was in good hands, thus allowing me to enjoy and relax for the time I was away.
When my mother passed away, Suzette packed everything up, cleaned her room, she knew who to call and what arrangements needed to be made. During this time, I couldn’t think I was upset due to the loss of my mother and Suzette handled everything from the packing of supplies and making sure the company came to pick up all of the equipment. I can’t begin to explain what a help this was to me!
Not only did Suzette take care of my mother but she became part of our family, I will never forget how she cared for my mother. I would recommend Suzette Parrish very highly to care for your family member; your will be very satisfied with the type of care she provides.
If you would like to speak to me please feel free to call me, and I’ll be glad to answer any questions you might have.

I am please to be able to provide this letter of recommendations for your outstanding service as a caregiver to my dad from September 2012 through December 2014.
During your employment your tasks included light housekeeping, laundry, preparations of breakfast and light evening meal and grocery shopping. In addition, you served as liaison between my father, his doctors and /or the laboratories and the family. You also got his up each morning, helped his bathe and get dressed so that you could take him to the Senior Center for a light lunch and peer socialization.
I know you make additional time for the family in an effort to address any and all cares and concerns that we may have had about him.
I enthusiastically recommend you for employment as a caregiver.
I would be happy to talk to prospective families on your behalf.

Vivian Severson was my Mother. She passed away in April, 2011. Suzette Parrish was my mother’s caregiver after she was diagnosed with lung cancer in September, 2010. Suzette spent a great deal o time with her. She was with her during treatment and continued with her while in a hospice scenario in my mother’s home. She was with her to the very end.
Suzette was more than just a caregiver. Her tireless work ethic and nursing background were indispensable in my mother’s time of need. Sue would work as much as 24 hours a day, depending on the situation. She was able to oversee the hospice care my mother was receiving and make any adjustments that were beneficial to my mother. She was also able to handle any situations that required attention at the house. She handled many difficult situations flawlessly.
Suzette cared for my mother with dignity, as if she was caring for her own. I cannot express the thanks necessary for all she did for my mother and me. She did everything she said she would do and more. She kept my mother as comfortable as humanly possible. She would be an asset to any family in their time of need.

Suzette Parrish was my father (Eugene’s) caregiver from June 2012 through December 16,2014
She was with my father when he passed way. In the 7 months after my mother passed away, we went through 4 different caregivers with bad experiences with all 4 of them. I found Suzette through an ad that she placed in the local newspaper after several conversations over the phone she agreed to have a sit down meeting with my sister, father and myself. She was definitely a blessing to our family. My father had early signs of dementia when she first started but it rapidly became worse over time. My father was definitely a handful. Her could become extremely belligerent and verbally abusive. But Suzette, bless her big heart, would put him in his place and regain control of the situations. She not only took excellent are of him but more importantly she became his friend. Sher not only cared for him in regards to his daily needs, she also cooked and did light housekeeping. She also took him to all his doctor appointments since my sister and I both work out of the local area this was huge blessing for us. In my opinion she was an angel sent from God. I would strongly recommend her to anyone that has a loved one that needs quality care with love and dignity all combined.

On behalf of the City of Lawndale I would like to thank the Bryman Schools for providing assistance at our Health and Social Services Fair. The students added a profession air to the event, provided blood pressure checks and Mrs. Parrish also served as a flabotomist. Again, thank you for your participation in the activity.

After suffering through many unsatisfactory senior care providers for my sister, Olive, I found Suzette Parrish. Olive was handicapped, in poor health, and a difficult patient.
For five years Suzette gave my sister every possible care and nurturing. Sher received the best in medical attention, food and personal care. Suzette obtained the best doctors for her.
Because of Suzette, Olive’s last years were spent in complete comfort, and Suzette has my undying gratitude. No one else could have been so hard working and dedicated.

Suzette Parrish came to us in January 2015. My sister-in- law hade heard about Suzette through a friend at her church. I spoke to her for about an hour on the phone.
Suzette was hired based on her experience and her honesty.
Suzette arrived and went to work liked she had worked there before. Sher was very experienced and my mom enjoyed her company.
When any issue came up with my mom Suzette knew how to handle it.
When first hired, I tried to use a direct deposit for her pay. There was a long delay in Suzette being paid and she was very understanding.
On Mother’s Day, she drove 75 miles so that all of us could be together.
She did everything that was asked and took great care of out mom. Due to a long stay in the hospital and rehab, we had to release Suzette so she could continue to earn a paycheck.
I would not hesitate in hiring Suzette again and would be glad to answer any questions from her perspective employers.
